Patient Volume/Census: 10-15 patients per day (CVICU/step down) + 1-2 surgeries

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 30 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES Temporary pacemaker removal

Chest tube removal

IABP removal

Aline placement

Cardiothoracic surgery

EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting)

JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Arizona license

Board: PA (Physician Assistant) board certification required

DEA: DEA required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide cardiothoracic surgical care to adult/geriatric patients

Manage CVICU and step-down patients (10-15 per day)

Perform surgeries (1-2 per day) including endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)

Take beeper call from 3p-7a on weeknights during assignment

Perform required procedures such as temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and arterial line placement
