Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Are you a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Arizona might be the perfect fit for you!

• Schedule:
  • 4 days per month
  • 7am-3pm plus call 3pm-7am
  • Weeknight beeper call (14 hours)
  • 24-hour call shifts
• Job Setting: Hospital
• Types of Cases:
  • 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day
  • Plus 1-2 surgeries
  • Special procedures include temporary pacemaker removal
  • Chest tube removal
  • IABP removal
  • A-line placement
• Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: Surgeon
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
• Minimum Experience: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
• Certifications:
  • ACLS and BLS
  • DEA
• Licensure: Active Arizona Physician Assistant license
