The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We're on the lookout for passionate self-starters who thrive in fast-moving, collaborative, and innovative environments.Position OverviewPosition will be responsible for analysis of operational financial data, account reconciliation package compilation and review, preparation of journal entries, and various special projects within the Crude Oil Accounting group. Position will interact with the entire crude oil accounting group as well as operations, marketing and financial accounting. Position will report to the Supervisor of Crude Oil Accounting.Essential Job FunctionsPreparation and self-review of journal entriesAnalysis of operational financial data to ensure accurate accountingAccount reconciliation package compilation, review, and tie-outPerform monthly inventory accountingSpecial projects as neededProcess improvement evaluation and implementationVarious other analysis and reporting for managementSupport for financial reporting, tax and internal/external auditorsKnowledge & SkillsProficient with MS Office products including advanced Excel skillsExperience with implementation of AI and other automation toolsCapable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaborationAnalytical skills with the ability to understand and convey complex information in order to develop a solution or approachEffective in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive mannerSelf-directed, motivated and results-driven approach to work, with the ability to meet deadlinesAbility to problem solve outstanding issues by working with various departments and external parties.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailEffective interaction with individuals at all levels within the organizationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to handle multiple projects and successfully balance multiple prioritiesEducation / ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting required1 – 3 years of accounting experience preferredMidstream oil and gas experience a plusOracle experience a plusCleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checksCompliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
