Pharmacist | Permanent Full-Time
Salary: $135,000 - $168,000 Annually Shift: VariesFacility: 25-49 Bed Community Hospital
Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, verify, and dispense medications accurately and safely.
- Monitor patient drug therapies for appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness.
- Provide drug information and medication education to physicians, nurses, patients, and healthcare staff.
- Prepare and dispense IV medications and parenteral solutions.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure adequate drug supply.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
- Participate in formulary management and automated dispensing system updates.
- Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code Blue situations as needed.
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
BS in Pharmacy required ; PharmD preferred
Active or eligible for New Mexico Pharmacist License
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred (1-2 years)
Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
New graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
