Assistant Project Manager - Hartford, CT

This role will support Project Managers on multiple "quick-hitter" commercial projects, typically 14-16 week turnarounds valued between $500K-$1M. The position is primarily office-based in Hartford with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day project coordination across multiple active jobs
• Support scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation
• Help manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Track project budgets, costs, and timelines alongside PMs
• Coordinate with field teams and ensure smooth communication flow
• Attend occasional site visits to monitor progress and support execution
• Utilize construction software tools for project tracking and reporting

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

• 2-3+ years of experience in construction (APM, Project Engineer, etc.)
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with construction software (AutoDesk preferred, not required)
• Retail or commercial interiors experience is a plus
