Our client is a confidential, entrepreneurial general contractor based in the Hartford, CT area, specializing in commercial fit-outs and renovations across retail, restaurant, healthcare, and corporate interiors. They are known for their speed, repeat client relationships, and ability to execute high-volume "quick-hitter" projects across New England.
Job Description
- Assist the Superintendent with daily onsite construction activities
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work to ensure schedule adherence
- Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with company standards
- Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
- Help manage site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
- Support quality control and ensure work meets plans/specifications
- Participate in site meetings and document key action items
- Utilize construction software/tools for reporting and documentation

The Successful Applicant
- 2-3+ years of construction experience (Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
- Willingness to travel between job sites in the Hartford region
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple short-duration projects simultaneously
- Retail or commercial interiors experience is a plus
- Familiarity with construction technology (AutoDesk preferred, not required)

- Base salary: $85,000 - $100,000 (dependent on experience)
