Snelling is searching for exceptional Welders in the Trussville, AL area who will be responsible for producing strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent. 1st and 2nd shift openings, with overtime!
Starting pay rate for this position is $22.00-28.00/hr.
Responsibilities for Welder :
- Fitting & welding parts using information from production drawings, shop travelers & work instructions as required utilizing MIG welder, fixtures, and basic welding tools to meet print specifications.
- Responsible for setting appropriate welding machine parameters for the material being welded.
- Responsible for making welds to meet print specifications
- Basic operation of robotic weld cell as assigned
- Verifies conformance of finished part to print specifications and quality standards.
Skills and Experience needed for Welder:
- 3+ years of hands on welding experience and the ability to weld vertical, flat, and overhead.
- Ability to operate acetylene torches.
- Math skills including metric system and angles.
- Ability to read tape measures and angle finders. As well as blueprint drawings and AWS weld symbols.
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
