Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas .

Overview

The financial analyst role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support investment decisions and risk assessments. The role requires building financial models, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assemble spreadsheets, create charts, and illustrate technical reports
• Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for investment purposes
• Interpret data affecting investment programs, including price, yield, stability, and future trend analysis
• Build relationships with clients for financial updates and with sales teams for forecasts
• Complete credit reviews and related tasks in a timely manner
• Support senior analysts in cross-functional coordination and workflow processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or economics
• Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience
• Experience with D&B reports and trade data is a plus
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
• Diplomacy and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) including V-lookup and Pivot tables
• Experience with AI tools in financial analysis preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
