Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Santo Nio Health Center is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates must be willing to perform both front and back office duties and be cross-trained in multiple areas as needed. SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday with the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM Responsibilities Greet and check in patients while providing professional and courteous customer service Schedule appointments, answer phones, and maintain accurate patient records and demographic information Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, height, and weight Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider evaluations Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care Administer medications and injections as directed by providers Collect, prepare, and document laboratory specimens for testing Operate diagnostic equipment including EKG, ICG, and PFT machines Process prescriptions, referrals, authorizations, and related documentation Accurately document patient encounters and provide scribe support as needed within the electronic health record (EHR) system Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations Maintain exam room cleanliness, monitor medical supplies, and assist with overall clinic organization Perform both front and back office duties and cross-train in multiple departments as needed Requirements Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Experience with EHR systems and standard office equipment preferred Ability to work professionally with patients, providers, and staff Bilingual preferred (if applicable) Santo Nio Health Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable federal, state, or local law.
