The Office of Project Management (PM) is to manage the Department's project management governance boards, validate the project performance baselines (scope, cost and schedule) of the Department's largest construction and environmental clean-up projects prior to budget requests to Congress; develop and oversee implementation of Department-wide project management-related policies, procedures and systems; conduct certification and surveillance reviews of contractor's earned value management systems; and manage the Project Management Career Development Program (PMCDP) to include the professional development, training and certification for the Department's Federal Project Directors. • Serve as an analyst and advisor to management, evaluating the effectiveness of programs and operations.
• Provide technical guidance and advice on analysis and evaluation methods to ensure optimal management strategy.
• Formulate and identify techniques for achieving project objectives and offer solutions to problems.
• Develop, manage, and maintain programming data/information systems, interpret policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Analyze management information requirements to develop reporting systems, including system specifications and analytical techniques.
• Identify, develop, analyze, and evaluate new or modified administrative program policies and regulations.
