6G Welder/ Fitter

Job Description

Pipe Welder/Fitter 5-years Pipe welding$25.00 to $29.00 an hour Monday-Saturday & Sundays as needed.Possible 12 hr shifts up to 7 days a week . Weld test • Position testing • 6G GTAW (TIG) Pipe• 6G GMAW/FCAW (MIG, FLUX) Pipe• 1G SAW optional (Automatic)• Fitting experience preferred • Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipes, structural and vessel materials• Must pass a 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipe.• Uses metal core mig, tig, flux core or stick welding process (must pass two or more.• Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive Exam• Weld brackets and braces and use grinders. • Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. • Perform position welds on code materials.• Proficient in flame and plasma cutting torches.• Experience reading and understanding blueprints.• Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment.• Certification to weld on pipe or plate preferred.Text View phone number on click.appcast.io for more details .
