To initiate the anesthetic technique to include general, regional, local and sedation. Provide continuous evaluation of patient's physical status. Select, obtain and administer anesthetics and other drugs and fluids. Discharge patients from postanesthesia care and provide follow up evaluation. Respond to emergency situations. Provide on call coverage as required. All services provided will be supervised by a Physician as required by Ohio law.Responsibilities and duties include:Perform and document preanesthestic assessment and evaluation.Provide general, regional, local and sedation coverage.Select, obtain and administer anesthetics and other drugs.Facilitate emergency and recovery from anesthesia.Provide postanesthesia care.Implement acute and chronic pain management modalities.Respond to emergency situations.Provide on call coverage as required by the department.As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties. The job profile provides an overview of responsibilities and duties and is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is subject to change at any time.Minimum qualifications:Associate's Degree (Required) AANA - American Association of Nurse Anesthetists - NBCRNA - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingGraduate from an approved school of nursing and hold current Ohio licensure as a registered nurse. Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. Complete the AANA Certification examination.
