ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Womenswear

Full-time, 5 days a week in office Description We are seeking an Associate Womenswear Designer to support the design and development of trend-forward, moderate career, and social dresses. The ideal candidate has experience in both wovens and knitwear and will bring creativity, technical/analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to help assist the Creative Director and Senior Designer in developing beautiful product. Responsibilities Assist Senior Designer and Creative Director with original design development across multiple labels Create and revise CADs, colorways, print placements and design presentations. Research and source fabrics, trims and new development opportunities. Coordinate strike-offs, lab dips, artwork revisions and sample submissions. Manage communication and follow-up with mills, suppliers and factories Maintain style information, line plans, development records and sample tracking Coordinate FDS, artwork files, mini markers and other technical documentation with the appropriate teams Prepare development and presentation materials for market Track deadlines and proactively flag issues that could compromise approvals or deliveries Requirements Proficient in A200, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create tech packs 3+ years of experience in apparel design with a focus on women's moderate dressing preferred Proven ability to create on-trend, commercially viable designs in a fast-paced, competitive retail landscape Strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and product development processes Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with merchandising, technical, and sourcing teams Exceptional market awareness and ability to translate trend insights into actionable, successful designs Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail Be able to work between design, production, and sales.
