Senior Director, M&A and Strategy

Senior Director role leading mergers & acquisitions and strategic planning for Cytiva, a Danaher operating company in the biotechnology sector. The position drives inorganic growth through acquisitions and partnerships while executing annual strategic plans, requiring deep life sciences expertise, financial acumen, and proven deal execution capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own full M&A lifecycle from target identification through integration planning and execution
- Build and maintain acquisition pipeline aligned with strategic priorities across timeframes
- Lead or co-lead annual strategic planning including market analysis and competitive benchmarking
- Develop thought leadership on industry trends and translate insights into growth initiatives
- Partner across Finance, Legal, R&D, Commercial, and Operations teams on strategic execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Economics, Finance, or related field plus MBA or Master's degree
- 10+ years in M&A, corporate development, strategy, investment banking, or private equity
- 5+ years of experience in life sciences or biotech industry
- 2-4 years at top-tier consulting firm or equivalent strategy/market analysis experience
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence including ROIC models
- Senior-level experience leading M&A diligence projects and strategic planning initiatives
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive and board-level audiences
Compensation: $190,000-$250,000 base, plus bonus/incentive pay eligibility
