Environmental Service Tech

Job Summary As our Environmental Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing daily duties to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. Interaction with patients, visitors, and clinical and non‑clinical staff will be required, ensuring timely room turnovers and adherence to environmental hygiene and infection prevention principles. The role is essential to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience. Responsibilities Complete assigned daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas. Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements; safely use chemicals and handle equipment. Maintain cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment as outlined in Standard Work cart set up; manage waste and transport to appropriate disposal areas, identifying proper waste stream handling (regulated medical, recycle, solid, hazardous) per procedures and regulatory requirements. Follow infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Previous healthcare experience. Employment Details Location: Phoenix, AZ. Pay: $18.00 - $22.75 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
