Santa Barbara Surgery Center is hiring a Full Time Sterile Processing Technician Santa Barbara Surgery Center is a fast paced, multi-specialty, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. What You Will Do (Job Summary): The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases. Monday-Friday daytime work schedule. NO call required. NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred Sterile Processing experience in medical setting CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred Ophthalmology experience preferred Experience with all types of sterilizers. Knows operating room instrumentation. Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray. Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer. Understands Sterrad sterilizers. Ability to prepare reports and keep records. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians Who We Are We are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
