SCM Shift Team Leader

Production & Operations focuses on designing, managing, and improving production processes and business operations, as well as manufacturing technologies and supply chains. The role involves working with modern systems such as SAP and dashboards, some of which are self-programmed. This is a cross-functional and international environment that offers performance-driven, diverse challenges and exciting projects.You can look forward to these exciting tasksCoordinate daily warehouse, material handling, dispatch, and shipping activities to support production and customer requirementsAssign work among Material Handlers based on the production plan, staffing levels, priorities, and current operational needsGuide the team’s daily work, communicate performance targets, quality alerts, and operational issues, and provide first-response problem solvingMonitor the movement, storage, labeling, packaging, and transportation of materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with established processesControl the allocation of warehouse storage space and coordinate the proper disposition of nonconforming materials and goodsSupport improvements and procedure updates related to warehouse, material handling, and dispatch processesPrepare reports related to shipping activities and issues and ensure an effective handoff between shiftsThis is what you bring to usExperience working in material handling, warehouse, shipping, or logistics operationsTechnical knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes, including the movement, storage, identification, and shipment of materialsAbility to coordinate and guide the daily work of a large team while communicating expectations, priorities, and operational concernsWorking knowledge of basic problem-solving and continuous improvement toolsExperience using Microsoft Office and other warehouse, shipping, or logistics software applicationsTraining related to leading or managing people is preferred; previous formal leadership experience is not requiredForklift certificationApplications from qualified individuals with disabilities are expressly welcome.Your contact person:Marisa Tavolacci, People & Organization Lexington, KY Get to know us here and find out why we are passionate about attracting talent to Webasto.We look forward to receiving your online application!
