Holding schedules. Addressing sequencing problems before they escalate into delays. Simultaneously, you\'ll deploy AI and digital systems to cut down on manual tasks, enhance transparency, and speed up delivery. This isn\'t hands-off oversight. You\'re the one who intervenes when timelines drift and restores momentum. What You Will Be Doing Manage on-site construction operations, collaborating directly with contractors to confirm work progresses in proper order and meets deadlines Take ownership of project schedules, monitor key milestones, spot risks proactively, and implement corrective measures when slippage happens Leverage platforms such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project to organize tasks, maintain documentation, and monitor progress across live construction sites Facilitate permitting processes by monitoring submissions, addressing review comments, and coordinating among parties to expedite approvals Integrate AI solutions to streamline planning, record-keeping, and decision workflows, minimizing manual workload and boosting execution velocity What You Won’t Be Doing Monitoring dashboards from a distance without stepping in when schedules begin to slip Overseeing projects only from a strategic level without grasping field conditions and trade sequencing realities Depending on legacy, manual methods to monitor work or stay in touch with teams Sidestepping challenging discussions with contractors or stakeholders when deadlines are threatened Delaying action on emerging problems while waiting for complete data Commercial Construction Project Manager Key Responsibilities Ensure on-time delivery of school construction projects by directly managing field coordination, holding teams accountable to schedules, and enhancing speed and reliability through technology and AI. Basic Requirements Hands-on construction execution background (field coordination, contractor oversight, or schedule management) with the ability to detail a particular project, your responsibilities, and how you navigated execution obstacles Track record of managing or coordinating project schedules, including developing timelines, monitoring progress, and enforcing deadlines, with at least one concrete example of addressing a delay or variance Competency in at least one digital project management platform (e.g., Procore, Asana, MS Project) and the capacity to explain its application on an actual project Familiarity with construction trade sequencing and the ability to recount a scenario where sequencing choices affected project timing Practical understanding of permitting procedures (submissions, reviews, revisions, AHJ coordination) with hands-on participation in at least one cycle Proven application of AI tools to speed up real-world tasks, including a specific example of the tool employed, outputs produced, and validation methods used Availability and willingness to work on-site at least 3 days per week, with roughly 60% travel throughout the United States depending on project requirements Based in the United States with authorization to work independently of visa sponsorship Nice-to-have Requirements Background managing multiple construction projects simultaneously Experience in rapid-growth or fast-turnaround construction settings with compressed schedules Enthusiasm for refining construction workflows via automation or process improvement About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn\'t have to be.
