Registered Nurse - Med Surg | Sonora, CA | Start 08/03/2026 | 6 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,777–$1,906 per week | Guaranteed hours: 36 per week | Shift: 3x12 Days | Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, travel - temporary assignment Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,777–$1,906 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 6 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Start date: 08/03/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients using the nursing process and established standards Collect relevant data, analyze findings, and develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate progress Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and respond to changes with clinical judgment Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; coordinate care with patients, families, and other providers Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning and smooth transitions of care Delegate appropriately and supervise assigned nursing staff; maintain a safe, healing environment Document care in the electronic medical record; support EMR workflows (EPIC and Cerner) as needed Requirements Licensure: RN license in the state of practice (California or relevant practicing state) required Certifications: BLS/CPR required; ACLS or ARC-ALS required Education: BSN preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care/med-surg setting EMR: Experience with EPIC and Cerner preferred Vaccinations: As required by organizational policy; comply with vaccination requirements Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours for the assignment Assignment support throughout the contract Weekly pay issued per week About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
