Inspection Specialist

Rantec Microwave Systems located in Westlake Village, has an immediate opening for an Inspection Specialist to perform mechanical inspection on machined components and complex assemblies, as well as brazed assemblies.

Job Duties:

• Operate a PC with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Read, interpret, and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, quality procedures, and industry specifications.
• Program and operate CMM machines using PCDMIS software.
• Use handheld inspection equipment to ensure part compliance (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

Skill Requirements:

• Must be capable of performing all manners of mechanical inspection, utilizing all types of handheld equipment.
• Write programs and operate CMM machines utilizing PCDMIS software.
• Understand and interpret geometric tolerancing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 Years mechanical inspection experience including operating and programming PCDMIS-based CMM machines.
• Dip Braze knowledge a plus

Work Schedule:

• Day shift hours are 5:00 am to 3:30 pm - 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and handle approximately 20 pounds.
