AVP & Actuary, Valuation & Reporting

Our client is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to oversee enterprise valuation and financial reporting. This is a high-visibility opportunity for an FSA with deep technical expertise, strong people leadership skills, and a strategic perspective on valuation, reporting, and model governance. Reporting to the Chief Actuary, you will lead quarter-end GAAP and Statutory valuation processes, ensure reporting accuracy and control integrity, and manage a team of actuaries. You will also play a key role in strengthening model governance and advancing the organization’s modeling environment as part of a broader actuarial modernization strategy. Management or team leadership experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, Statutory frameworks, and LDTI. Experience in Prophet, AXIS, or MG-ALFA; advanced Excel required; SQL/Python a plus. Hands‑on, detail‑oriented leader with strong communication and business judgment. Key Responsibilities Lead GAAP and Statutory quarter‑end valuation and reporting. Oversee reserves, assumptions, and model validation controls. Enhance and govern actuarial models for life and annuity products. Partner cross‑functionally to strengthen automation, audit readiness, and governance. Lead assumption setting, experience studies, and regulatory monitoring.
