Order Management And Customer Support Specialist

This role focuses on managing customer orders from entry to invoicing, providing responsive customer support, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. You will work extensively with SAP and Excel in a manufacturing environment to maintain precise order data, support after-sales activities, and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming customer purchase orders by accurately entering and managing sales orders in SAP.
• Verify pricing against existing contracts and provide clear lead times to ensure accurate order confirmations.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales order data in SAP based on current customer order reports.
• Ensure invoices are generated promptly, sent to customers, and uploaded into customer portals when required.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer procurement teams to support overall customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary daily point of contact for customers, addressing questions, concerns, and routine inquiries.
• Support after-sales and service activities by coordinating returns, replacements, and service requests as needed.
• Communicate customer expectations clearly to internal teams such as Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Plan and prioritize daily activities in collaboration with internal teams to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Escalate customer concerns to the appropriate account or management contacts when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in order management, including processing and maintaining customer orders.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, with a strong preference for SAP.
• Experience in customer support or customer service, ideally in a logistics or order management context.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to managing data and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with customer portals for invoice upload and order-related communication.
• Familiarity with logistics processes related to order fulfillment, returns, and replacements.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customer procurement teams.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Dunlap, TN.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr. 10 holidays PTO after 1 year possible flex schedule benefits

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Dunlap, TN.
