Submit your application for the opportunity below: NICU Clinical Pharmacist Job Summary and Qualifications As a NICU Clinical Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and effective use of medications as needed. The NICU Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence-based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures. In this role, you will be embedded directly within the NICU to provide comprehensive, patient-centered pharmaceutical care to our neonatal patients. You will serve as the primary medication expert on the interdisciplinary care team, participating in daily rounds, driving quality initiatives, and championing medication safety. You will respond to neonatal emergencies and rapid response calls, ensuring timely and accurate medication preparation and dosing. You will collaborate with the medical and nursing teams to play a critical role in the development, review, and update of clinical pathways, protocols, and smart pump drug libraries. You will provide interdisciplinary education as well as have the opportunity to precept pharmacy students through Roseman University and other Pharmacy Schools. What qualifications you will need: Bachelor of Science or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy One year of acute care hospital Level II NICU experience required. Level III NICU experience preferred. PGY Residency training is preferred. PALS and NRP required within 90 days of hire.
