Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability.Electro Mechanical Technician's Shift: This shift is a 12 hour shift; 5:00PM to 5:00AM: Operating on a 2-2-3 schedule (Must be able to work everyother Friday, Saturday and Sunday)Electro Mechanical Technician's Compensation: The approximate hourly pay for this position is $26.00/hr.Electro Mechanical Technician's Primary Responsibilities:Maintain Factory Equipment: Identify defects, execute maintenance plan and troubleshoot equipment. Work in various areas of the plant including: Material handling and storage equipment.Understand Power distribution system (up to 480 volts).Control systems – Basic PLC, Motor, sensor, drives and Basic electrical circuits, Basic understanding of device communication networks.Mechanical system – Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive systems.Troubleshooting and problem solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment, with key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost.Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment.Review required spare parts to keep maximize technical warehouse service factor.Maintains engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).Build capability: Coach operator skills- adjustments / changeovers for new and improvements in existing process.Build technical procedures.Train other technical resources and needed.Use of continuous improvement system such as TPM / Lean.CMMS system (AMM): Access and utilize AMM to accurately document all maintenance activities in AMMIdentify and create Work orders.Perform time entry and technical feedback on work performed.Analyze data to improve the maintenance plan.Improve / Create necessary task list.Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis.Core Skills – Skills and behaviors expected:Ability to work as a team.Positive conflict resolution skills.Accountable for personal development.A strong commitment to improving line performance and reliability.Maintain factory standards – perform required work in line with factory systems such as; SPC, QMS, Permit to work and other Nestle and Legal requirements.Requirements and Minimum Education Level:High school Diploma or GEDTwo year Technical Degree in Maintenance related area such as Maintenance Technical/Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics technology or equivalent work experienceRequired Skills and Abilities:Strong Mechanical skills (Hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical drive systems, and Principle of operation)Facilities maintenance experience (chillers, air turnover units, cooling towers, HVAC, dock doors Welding, fabrication and machining skillsElectrical skills (NEC, AC & DC circuits, 480V power distribution, industrial wiring)Basic Electrical circuitsBasic PLC / hardwire logic circuits knowledgeKnowledge and use of test equipment (amp meter, megger, ect)Knowledge of Motors, Drives, sensorsRead and interpret machine, electrical and facility drawingsFamiliar with CMMS and Production Work Flow/Control systems.Ability to be self-managed performing work unsupervised, re-priorities as necessaryMust demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.Good communication skills with operators, other technicians and resources.Ability to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectivesAble to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.)May require internal & external certification such as Sanitary welding, vibration, thermography, etc.Understand how automated equipment and its components work.Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems, instrumentation, and fluid power.Properly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.Understand the operating principles and function of the electrical control and power components and circuits utilized in automated equipment.Operate, troubleshoot, and diagnose industrial circuits used in control and distribution.Obtain and maintain certifications required by Nestle policies (ie Arch Flash, LOTO, PTWs, etc)Core Skills:Communication skills-Able to communicate verbally with leaders and co-workers to accomplish tasks in an open and honest manner.Ability to give and receive feedback, ask questions and challenge respectfully.Work in a team environment where a positive attitude, healthy conflict resolution, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.Critical Thinking Skills-Able to reason, solve problems, analyze graphs, interpret data, troubleshoot equipment and systems.Participate and lead process improvement projects, make decisions based on analysis, able to read instructions and engineering documents, attention to detail, and accurately record information.Locate information in a resourceful manner.Willingness to support an open positive Nestle culture and follow established values.Integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectives.Proactive individual that takes responsibility for their equipment, line, coworkers and the continuous improvement of the operation.Accountable for personal development and improvement.Train and build competency in others.Employee must come to work promptly and regularly, work independently with minimal supervision at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.Ability to work in a fast paced environment & handle multiple tasksSafety and Environmental: Follow safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.Capability to follow work standards and full adherence to all safety permitting and facility LOTO requirements while executing tasks.Ability to demonstrate safe practices and tools for while working with low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and componentsQuality: Follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings or incidentsMaintain Quality Control standards. Perform through SPC and in compliance with QMS Advanced Level standards and all FDA requirementsThe approximate pay for this position is $26.00/hr.
