Role Description The Emergency Dispatcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Brea, CA. This position is responsible for receiving and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency calls, gathering critical information, and dispatching appropriate ambulance units. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring communication channels, coordinating with field crews, updating call status and records in dispatch systems, and relaying instructions and information to ensure efficient response and patient care. The Emergency Dispatcher communicates with hospitals, public safety agencies, and internal teams to support smooth operations and accurate documentation. The role requires maintaining composure under pressure, following established protocols, and adhering to company and regulatory standards. Qualifications Ability to effectively perform Emergency Medical Dispatch and work within Emergency Services environments. Strong Dispatching skills, including call triage, resource allocation, and real-time coordination. Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear, concise information exchange. Demonstrated Customer Service abilities, with a focus on empathy, professionalism, and respect for all callers. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and use of computer-based dispatch systems. Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Previous experience in dispatch, public safety, or healthcare-related roles is preferred.
