Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Quoting Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for custom and standard products.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Analyze customer specifications and drawings to determine manufacturing processes and costs.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and quoting tools.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote details and lead times.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternative solutions during the quoting process.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a quoting or estimating role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with custom fabrication, machining, or assembly processes.
