Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a School Social Worker in a supportive educational environment near Baltimore, MD. This is a contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, with positions available both full-time and part-time. Work onsite, collaborate with dedicated staff, and provide essential services to help students succeed academically and personally.

Your assignment, scheduled for up to 7 hours a day, runs from your start date through June 16, 2027. Caseloads will be designed to align with the unique needs of each school or program. The district is actively seeking part-time school social workers as well as one full-time, long-term substitute to cover approximately mid-October to mid-April.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state certification or licensure for school social work
• Previous experience working in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
• Strong ability to connect with diverse student populations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Capacity to manage sensitive situations with care and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students and families, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual students
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster a positive and inclusive environment
• Participate in meetings, assessments, and the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and document services provided
