Interventional Radiology Technician Positions

1 Contractor – Onsite Location: Athens, GA, United States, 30606

Department: Interventional Radiology Shift Timing: 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM Per Week: 40 Hours Call: 9–10 days per month Must Be Available: Week of 12/29 Certifications: BLS Required Experience: 2 Years (Must have Neuro Interventional experience)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician.
• Neuro IR experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to take call 9–10 days/month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure readiness for Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Position patients and imaging equipment, ensure patient comfort, and explain procedures clearly.
• Input commands/data into imaging systems, monitor screens, and adjust density/contrast as needed.
• Monitor patient well-being during procedures and maintain adherence to radiation safety standards.
• Produce accurate diagnostic images and relay critical findings to the Physician.
• Maintain updated patient records and document procedure details.
• Organize procedure schedules, manage emergency cases as needed, and maintain inventory of IR supplies.
• Handle administrative duties such as answering technical queries, scheduling, and pre-procedure guidance.
• Perform routine maintenance and urgent troubleshooting of radiographic/IR equipment.
