Journeyman Electrician and Multi-Trade Technician

Work Horse General Contractors, an established construction company based in Pasadena, TX, is seeking a Texas Licensed Journeyman Electrician / Multi-Trade Technician to join our team. We are looking for an experienced electrician who wants steady construction work and is also willing to assist with other trades and general construction work when electrical work is not available. The primary focus of this position is electrical work, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, lighting, switches, receptacles, circuits, panels, conduit, and other commercial and residential electrical work. This is not strictly an electrical-only position. Work Horse is a general contractor, and the ideal candidate is versatile, comfortable using tools, and willing to assist with drywall, carpentry, painting, demolition, repairs, punch‑list work, and other construction tasks as needed. Responsibilities Perform electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting Install and repair receptacles, switches, fixtures, lighting, and other electrical components Run and bend conduit and pull wire Troubleshoot circuits and electrical problems Read basic plans, diagrams, and job specifications Work independently when assigned electrical tasks Follow applicable electrical codes and job-site safety requirements Assist with drywall, carpentry, painting, demolition, repairs, and general construction as needed Maintain tools and keep work areas clean and organized Travel to job sites throughout the Houston area as needed Requirements Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License Proven hands‑on electrical experience Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems Experience with commercial and/or residential electrical work Willingness to perform construction work outside of the electrical trade as needed Reliable transportation Basic hand tools appropriate for the trade Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Dependable attendance and communication Resume required to be considered for this position Pay $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience, electrical ability, and overall construction skill set. Candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience across multiple construction trades may qualify toward the higher end of the range.
