Nutrition Aide

Base Pay $16.7 - $23.35 / Hour Employee Type Temporary Required Degree NONE Manage Others No This position is temporary and is not benefit eligible. Purpose of Job This position is responsible for assisting in food preparation and serving and maintaining a clean and sanitary condition in the kitchen and dining areas. Job Functions Prepares and serves food for patients and cafeteria guests. Assembles and dissembles patient trays. Ability to perform cashier duties that include keying appropriate items for total purchase with applicable discounts. Washes, sanitizes and stores dishes. Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas. Practices and adheres to safety guidelines from the State Department of Health. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be 14 years of age Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Accurately count currency and apply credit card payments Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work independently and in a team Ability to complete basic mathematical problems Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food industry Previous experience in healthcare cafeteria Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
