Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Empower students to reach their full potential by providing specialized instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming school environment near Lakeville, MN. You’ll work closely with fellow educators and families to build positive educational experiences.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting is preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Adaptable, resourceful, and compassionate approach to teaching
Role highlights:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons tailored to students with varying needs
- Develop and monitor IEPs in partnership with the educational team
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
Schedules vary by site:
- Middle schools: Early schedule, typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Elementary schools: Schedule will range between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, depending on building start times (around 8:40 or 9:25)
