The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for all activities related to shipping and receiving, ensuring products are prepared, verified, and dispatched on time and within specifications while consistently meeting daily metrics and performance goals. This role involves working with shipping platforms, handling physical product, performing quality checks, and accurately entering and tracking data in inventory and shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all daily shipping and receiving activities to meet established metrics and performance goals.
• Ensure all products are shipped on time and in accordance with customer and internal specifications.
• Prepare shipments using FedEx and UPS systems, including FedEx WorldShip and other global ship tools.
• Lift and move items weighing 3040 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Perform quality inspections on products, checking for mistakes, defects, and compliance with order requirements.
• Assist with order picking as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
• Use RF scanners and pick links to upload and update accurate documentation for each order.
• Review bulk orders and break them down into smaller orders based on specific locations and requirements.
• Use work orders to verify products, quantities, and amounts needed before packing and shipping.
• Count each pair of socks and other items to ensure accurate quantities for every order.
• Use computers to enter all shipping and inventory data, generate documentation, and print shipping labels.
• Create and apply shipping labels to boxes, ensuring each label is correctly assigned to the corresponding order.
• Verify product type and quantity multiple times throughout the process to maintain high accuracy.
• Track all labels and shipments in the inventory system to maintain clear and up-to-date records.
• Perform general warehouse packing and labor tasks to support overall operations as required.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of packaging experience with regular use of a computer.
• Experience with FedEx WorldShip or similar FedEx shipping platforms.
• Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and order picking in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in product verification, including checking item type and quantity against work orders.
• Ability to create shipping labels and correctly label boxes for outgoing shipments.
• Experience using FedEx and UPS shipping systems for domestic or global shipments.
• Ability to use RF scanners to scan items and update documentation accurately.
• Comfort with standing for an entire shift and lifting 3040 lbs throughout the day.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and printing shipping labels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and verifying products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing general labor and packing tasks.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and tracking labels within an inventory management platform.
• Experience with UPS shipping tools and global ship systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills for handling bulk orders and breaking them down by location.
• Reliable work habits and a commitment to maintaining high quality and accuracy in all shipping and receiving tasks.

Work Environment

This role is based in an open warehouse environment where you will be on your feet and standing for the entire shift. You will work with RF scanners, computers, FedEx WorldShip, UPS shipping tools, and inventory systems as part of daily operations. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes, suitable for active, hands-on work in a warehouse setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
