Supply Chain Operations Associate

Job Summary We are immediately hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate in Parma, OH for our Supply Chain Solutions division. Annual Salary: $48,000 - $50,000 per year, paid twice per month. Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Responsibilities Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‑time delivery performance to support production requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for all suppliers and provide direction regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule. Make independent decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules, allowing materials to be pushed out, pulled ahead, or expedited as needed based on inventory coverage at the plant. Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to the manufacturing line, including decision making on mode and required delivery window. Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, including requests for spot buys when necessary. Monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up to support schedule variations. Ensure proper material coverage at the lowest possible cost for the customer. Review part buffers to verify they cover build requirements for Metal Centers and Powertrain. Document and manage S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants), including alarm interval maintenance. Determine root cause and take appropriate action for process improvements. Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments when necessary. Make judgments on posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis, and investigate process requests from the previous shift. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least 1 year of administrative experience preferred. At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Intermediate knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) preferred. Intermediate knowledge of transportation management preferred. Intermediate knowledge of material flow related to manufacturing processes preferred. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to operate and self‑driven in a fast‑paced environment. Capability to multitask, stay highly organized, and manage time effectively. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Flexible work schedule. Travel not required.
