Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 13-week assignment with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; 16-bed unit with average daily census of 16; self-scheduling; floating within scope of practice as needed

• Cardiac Telemetry unit specializing in post MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Epic EMR required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication preferred
• Charge nurse experience strongly requested; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, lift teams, and pharmacy
• Up to 7 days of approved time off available (blackout dates apply during Spring Break: April 4-12)
• 24 hours of orientation provided; full compliance required prior to start date

• Active Georgia or Compact state RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac drips
• Proficiency in peritoneal dialysis, central line care, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and pre/post cardiac procedures
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• All compliance documents must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date

This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic cardiac telemetry environment with a diverse patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. You'll be supported by a full range of interdisciplinary services while gaining valuable experience in advanced cardiac care including post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac catheterization procedures, and complex arrhythmia management. The unit utilizes industry-standard Epic charting and provides comprehensive orientation to ensure your success from day one.
