Role Overview

The Corporate Controller is the enterprise‐level financial leader responsible for Solidaire’s consolidated accounting operations, internal controls and technical accounting standards across a multi‐entity national platform. This role oversees the Regional Controllers & an expanding team of Senior/Staff accountants ensuring consistent accounting treatment, scalable processes, and accurate consolidated financials as the platform grows through acquisition.

The Corporate Controller sets the accounting vision for the platform, leads the transition to modern ERPs (BuildOps, Sage Intacct), and ensures that new entities — including those arriving with no finance function — are integrated quickly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Accounting Leadership

• Own Solidaire’s consolidated financial statements, accounting policies, and internal control framework.
• Ensure GAAP compliance across all entities and oversee technical accounting matters.
• Lead the Regional Controllers and ensure consistent accounting treatment across Group A and Group B.

Close, Reporting & Controls

• Oversee month‐end close across all operating companies.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of consolidated reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and reduce audit exposure across the platform.

ERP, COA & Systems Modernization

• Partner with the enterprise transition to BuildOps and Sage Intacct.
• Oversee COA standardization and mapping across all entities.
• Partner with the Finance Integration Leader on ERP implementation, banking transitions, and systems integration.

M&A Integration

• Own accounting integration for all acquisitions — including entities with no existing finance function.
• Stand up interim centralized coverage until decentralized staffing is justified.
• Ensure consistent controls, COA treatment, and reporting from day one.

Leadership & Team Management

• Manage Regional Controllers and other accountants on the team
• Build a scalable accounting organization aligned with Solidaire’s long‐term operating model.
• Develop talent and strengthen accounting capability across the platform.

Business Partnership

• Partner with the CFO on enterprise‐level financial strategy, forecasting, and planning.
• Provide insights on platform performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Support operational leaders with financial clarity and decision‐support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including multi‐entity consolidation.
• Experience in private equity‐backed, high‐growth, or multi‐location environments.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and ERP implementation experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams through transformation and scale.

We offer professional Heating & Air Conditioning services that include New Construction, Renovations, Preventive Maintenance Contracts, as well as Service or Repair work for all commercial applications. Our experience in the commercial HVAC field is extensive, with projects ranging from small to large.
