Cook Position at Northern Nevada Medical Center

This Cook position is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient evening shift schedule. The cook will prepare appropriate food items for hospital patients, staff, and visitors according to recipes.

Job Duties:

• Determines types and quantities of all foods to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and printed tallies.
• Determines foods/supplies/equipment that are low in supply and uses list to communicate to Director/Supervisor.
• Also assists in putting foods/supplies away appropriately in designated storage area after delivery.
• Prepares all foods according to approved recipes and to suitable appearance standards while using garnishes when appropriate

Qualifications:

• One to three (1-3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
