This position supports the Western Regional Office through detailed clerical work, careful recordkeeping, and assistance to the Regional Director. It plays an essential role in organizing information and supporting child protective services activities. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Child Fatality Logging: Maintain logs, track deadlines, and notify staff of required actions related to near fatality and fatality reports
  • Call And Email Triage: Route communications to staff based on urgency, workload, and subject matter
  • Correspondence Review: Check incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, completeness, and correct routing
  • Office Equipment Management: Research vendors, place approved orders, and monitor supplies and office furniture needs
  • Child Abuse Documentation: Maintain logs, prepare correspondence, and manage records related to child abuse functions
  • Staff Support Duties: Assist with onboarding, schedule meetings, greet visitors, and help staff with assigned clerical tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
