About the Position

RN - PCU/Stepdown

Location: Lubbock, TX | Short Term Acute Care – Level II Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Telemetry IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting within a short-term acute care facility
• Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4
• Participate in weekend shifts as required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period)
• Float between units within the facility as operationally needed
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment; module time is non-billable and factored into onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms (locals within 50 miles may be considered under alternate terms)
• 48-hour shift availability approved when applicable
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro Telemetry, IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and neurological patient populations
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
