Automotive Lube Technician

LUBE TECHNICIANThe Lube Technician is an entry-level automotive service role responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and inspections while delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer vehicles are properly maintained and in identifying potential maintenance needs. This role supports recruiting and talent acquisition efforts across Shawnee Mission Kia and BMW of Shawnee Mission.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This role offers hands-on experience in an automotive service environment with opportunities for training, skill development, and advancement within the shop.ResponsibilitiesPerform basic vehicle maintenance (oil change, tire rotations, various fluid flushes)Perform a vehicle multi-point inspection to ensure the proper operation of a vehicle and the safety of the customer (Check fluids, filters, battery test, tires, suspension components, and the overall integrity of the vehicle)Perform a video multi-point inspectionFill out a vehicle multi-point inspection form, that includes multi-media attachmentsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentEnsure proper handling of a customer's vehicleComply with all company safety policies and proceduresReport any damaged or malfunctioning equipmentEnsure the company's core values are met with fellow employees and customersQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver license.Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids)Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including:Oil and filter changesTire rotation and pressure checksFluid checks and top-offs (transmission, coolant, brake, power steering)Battery testing and replacementVisual inspections of belts, hoses, and filtersFamiliarity with basic hand and power toolsAbility to follow manufacturer and shop service proceduresIn addition to competitive compensation, we offer:Hourly Pay Range: $16.00–$17.00 per hourPay Type: Non-exempt, hourly positionCompensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualificationsOvertime: Paid in accordance with federal and state law for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.4 Day Work WeekOn-the-job trainingLatest equipment in the industryA path to become a master technicianHealth, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid Time-OffEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Vehicle Purchase ProgramEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
