The successful candidate will be authorized to lawfully work in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now, or in the future.

SUMMARY

Set up and operate conventional machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts by performing the duties listed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read drawings and blueprints to create parts from prints, shop drawings and sample parts
• Work with precision using tooling, templates, patterns fittings and hand tools
• Set up and operate lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, drill presses, cutoff saw and grinders
• Perform machining, including layout, drilling, milling turning, cutting and grinding
• Work at close tolerances, read precise measurements and zero-error allowances successfully
• Operate hi-los and overhead cranes to move large or heavy materials
• Deliver parts to other departments in the plant as necessary
• Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
• Provide verbal and written feedback to appropriate members of the manufacturing group

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Preferred minimum of 1 year of on-the-job Manual Machinist experience
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to attain forklift certification
• Able to attain overhead cranes certification
• Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong relationship building skills and team player

Pay Range: $19 - $29 per hour
