CNC Machinist II - 2nd shift

CNC MachinistTrain on First Shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm) then transition to Second Shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am).Job DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveThe CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist performs set up tasks, loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Creates part identification tags2. Recognizes and loads correct tooling into lathe, mill, or 5 axis3. Describes correct tool data from set up sheet4. Teach tool offsets5. Loads fixtures/work holding6. Sets up and edits bar feeder when applicable7. Finds work piece coordinates8. Cycles and measures first piece9. Time Management.Required Education and Experience1. High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.2. Minimum three years of related experience.3. Matrix or Matrix II controls (Mazatrol and G-Code programming)Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will need to lift up to 50lbs.
