NBO: 16 hrs

OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier

Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum

Avg. caseload – Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes. Special equipment – 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don't do many ortho joints. How many suites – 16 OR's. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas. Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures. Scrub or Circulate – both would be preferred. Other – the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.

• Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist

Orientation Dates: ASAP any day of the week!!! CRITICAL NEED, 7/27 START - REDUCED COMPLIANCE LIST TO ACCOMODATE QUICK START; 7/27, 8/3, 8/10 starts (sooner starts WILL be prioritized)

• 24 months of of current operating room experience [required] --- (hospital/medical center experience will be prioritized)
• circulating / operating room experience [required]
• scrub experience [highly preferred]
• experience in the following cases: General, davinci Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma [required]
• additional experience in the following cases: (Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) [highly preferred]
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years [required]
• Trauma Level I experience [highly preferred]
• Trauma level II experience [required]
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 mos. [required]

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

• Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current operating room experience [required]
• Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Operating Room Nurse, scrub/scrubbing) – [required]
• Nursy's must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission – [required] [document]
• Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
