License and Permit Specialist

Major Duties Engages with the public in a professional and courteous manner, providing information on driver licenses, traffic laws, safety regulations, and related topics. Conducts applicant screenings, administers tests, processes applications, and ensures adherence to relevant policies and statutes. Communicates with both internal and external stakeholders to review and approve license applications. Enters application data, payments, and technical details into computer systems. Advises applicants on suspensions, cancellations, and qualifications for reinstatement. Utilizes computer systems for capturing applicant information and photos. Inspects vehicles for safety prior to road tests checks registration and compliance and explains road test procedures. Administers driving tests and evaluates applicants' physical capabilities. Conducts comprehensive examinations as required, makes pass/fail determinations, and recommends corrective actions for driver improvement. What are we looking for? 2 years of customer service experience in an onsite customer-facing environment. Graduation from a two-year college or equivalent is preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Texas issued driving license, and a clean driving record is required due to the nature of the role. About the Opportunity Rate: $27.50/hr. Length of engagement: 6 months (temporary to permanent). Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5pm.
