Talent Frontiers is seeking a visionary Founding General Manager to lead a premier SPA and Hammam in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time, on-site executive role is designed for a Director or Vice President-level professional ready to build and scale a luxury wellness destination from the ground up. As the Founding General Manager, you will shape every aspect of the guest experience, from service standards to operational strategy, establishing this venue as the premier spa and hammam in the region.

Reporting directly to Owners and/or President of the group, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and financial performance of the facility. You will lead recruitment, team development, service innovation, and community engagement while championing a culture of wellness, hospitality, and luxury. About Nour Hammam

Nour Hammam is a women-only Moroccan hammam, beauty, and wellness spa opening in Minneapolis in December 2026. The concept blends authentic Moroccan ritual — steam, kessa scrub, rhassoul and beldi cleansing, and tea service — with massage, lymphatic drainage, beauty and hair, bridal and events, postpartum wellness, memberships, and a focused retail line.

The interior is designed as an elevated, upscale sanctuary — tadelakt plaster, zellige tile, brass and marble, arches and patterned light — bringing a premium, authentic experience to a dense, underserved community of Somali, East African, and Muslim women with strong unmet demand, including a large nearby healthcare workforce. Privacy and cultural respect are the foundation of everything we do.

The Opportunity

This is a founding General Manager role . You will build the business from the ground up alongside the owner, then run it. You own hiring, training, operations, compliance, and daily management, and you serve as the Designated Licensed Salon Manager . You are building the systems, the team, and the culture from day one — and you will help create training and operating assets the company owns permanently.

Because Nour Hammam is a women-only facility, the General Manager is the owner's on-site operating partner in spaces the owner cannot enter. This is a role of real trust, real authority, and real upside.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, launch, and ongoing management of the spa and hammam operations
• Develop and execute comprehensive business and growth plans to maximize revenue and profitability
• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of wellness professionals and support staff
• Establish and uphold exceptional service standards, guest satisfaction protocols, and quality assurance measures
• Oversee all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and cost control
• Design and curate innovative spa and hammam service menus, treatments, packages, and wellness programs
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and local community stakeholders
• Lead marketing, branding, and public relations efforts to position the spa as a market leader
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously improve offerings
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and wellness-focused workplace culture aligned with organizational values
• Collaborate with executive leadership to set long-term strategic goals and key performance indicators

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the spa, hospitality, luxury wellness, or related service industry
• Proven track record as a General Manager, Director, or Vice President in a premium or luxury environment
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Strong experience with hammam, spa, or traditional wellness practices is highly desirable
• Demonstrated financial expertise, including P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization
• Exceptional team leadership, talent development, and organizational building capabilities
• Outstanding customer service orientation with a meticulous attention to detail and luxury standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder relationship skills
• Working knowledge of spa management software, booking systems, and point-of-sale platforms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic start-up environment
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management abilities
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a hospitality setting

Compensation & Benefits

Nour Hammam is offering a package built to attract a top operator — a strong, guaranteed base plus meaningful upside tied to the success of the launch and the business.

Base salary

$100,000 per year, plus benefits

Benefits

Health insurance, paid time off + holidays, retirement contribution, license fees & continuing-education coverage, staff service & product discounts, phone/tech stipend

Launch milestone bonus

15–20% of base, paid in installments as key milestones are met: on-time December opening, licenses & inspections passed, full team hired & trained to SOP, and early revenue/utilization targets

Profit share

5% of the net-profit pool once the business is profitable (a performance bonus — not ownership or equity)

At maturity, the realistic all-in package (base, benefits, bonus, and profit share) is expected to reach roughly $140,000–$155,000+, with the variable portion paid only out of real, achieved profit.
