Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients and conduct therapy sessions. Our outpatient counseling facility incorporates modern telehealth practices, enabling counselors to work flexibly with clients based on scheduled appointments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the mental health field, actively pursuing professional development opportunities, workshops, and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, addressing a wide variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our patient-centered approach focuses on understanding individual needs, ensuring that you can adapt your therapeutic techniques to reflect each client's unique emotional landscape and goals.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years' experience providing professional counseling services, ideally in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal frameworks relevant to counseling practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with multi-ethnic and diverse client backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as trauma, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
