Pharmacist | Fishers, Indiana

A pharmacy professional is needed for a part-time position in a closed-door mail order setting, working either 1st or 2nd shift (8 am to 9 pm), Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. This temp-to-hire role spans approximately 13 weeks and offers the opportunity for direct hire after the initial period.


Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescription orders.
• Provide counseling and education to patients about medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure therapy accuracy and appropriateness.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and medication adherence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and allergy information.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Handle proper medication storage and disposal, monitoring for expired or damaged products.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Stay current with advances in pharmacy practice and engage in professional development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License required.
• California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate, with assistance provided.
• 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Up to 5% travel required.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
