Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a specimen processor to prepare and route laboratory samples for testing at a Detroit facility. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and logistics in a high-volume production environment working overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, unpack, and route specimens to designated staging and testing areas
• Identify, label, pack, and ship specimens with accuracy and proper documentation
• Enter patient information and specimen data into laboratory systems timely and correctly
• Resolve and document problem specimens; store excess samples appropriately
• Meet department production goals and activity metrics

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and pass color blindness screening
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work in team environment
• 6+ months experience in medical or production environment (preferred)
