Oliver Wyman’s Private Equity team in North America is hiring consultants to support its rapid growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle—from opportunity identification through due diligence to post‑transaction value realization. Job Specification Practice Groups: Aerospace & Defense Location: Boston, Washington DC, New York, Chicago Roles: Engagement Managers (open to Associates & Senior Consultants) The Role And Responsibilities We are not typical “management” consultants. We provide industry‑ and discipline‑specific knowledge and expertise, amplifying our impact and helping shape the future for our clients. The team seeks experienced professionals who are already working in or interested in focusing on Aerospace & Defense for private equity clients, with a particular emphasis on commercial aerospace. Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise. The ideal candidate will have most of the following: Professional working experience with exposure to commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm. Experience working across or within industries in Private Equity. Knowledge and in‑depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.). A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in formal and informal settings. Fluent in English. An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program. Ability to take initiative, seek out opportunities to learn new skills, and apply them effectively. Creativity and the readiness to develop novel ideas to solve clients’ biggest problems. Aaptitude for analytical work, such as extracting insights from large data sets or identifying key issues in complex challenges. A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with a talented team. Compensation and Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is $225,000 to $240,000. Base pay will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, and employee assistance programs.
