Position Highlights

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through the use of standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at fulfilling both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy services that enhance language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Team up with a multidisciplinary crew of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure integrated care strategies.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide powerful education that bolsters progress beyond clinical walls.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards.

Required Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited university.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Hawaii.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
