Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods to gain insights into their communication capabilities.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals of each patient.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish integrated care strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families to empower progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Embrace ongoing education and peer networking to stay informed about developments within the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of commencing employment.
